• The Tour Operator is MOTOBerlin (Pty) Ltd - Reg. No 1997/0200675/07.
• Your signed contract will mean acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

• All prices include SA VAT and Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance.
  
• All prices are quoted with UNLIMITED mileage unless noted as a Special price or by prior arrangement.
  
• Rates are subject to change without prior notice.
  
• The Motorcycle rental fee is to be paid in full on booking or 35 days in advance of the tour starting date.
• Trade conditions apply to Registered Tour Operators by arrangement.

• MOTOBerlin motorcycles are not allowed to be taken on any training courses or used for competitive activities.
  
• MOTOBerlin motorcycles are only insured for use on gravel or tarred chartered routes.

• Tour groups are preferable to have no more than 12 participants and a handling fee could be charged for groups hiring more than 6 motorcycles at a time.

• MOTOBerlin will collect you from the airport, or your accommodation at the beginning of the tours longer than 5 days. At the end of the tour you will be transferred back to the airport.

• Helmets are compulsory, boots, protective clothing, and gloves for riders and passengers are advisable and to be provided by themselves.
  
• Cortex is best for the South African climate with removable inners. Full leathers are very warm in summer but it is better to sweat than bleed.

• For evening and general wear, casual clothing is acceptable at all restaurants and public places in coastal areas.
  
• Summers are hot during the days and cooler at night. Thundershowers occur in the late afternoon in the Eastern areas.
  
• Winters are cool to cold at night with intermittent rain in the South west. Warm clothing is suggested for most evenings when in-land.

• All fuel purchases in RSA are by cash with NO Visa/MasterCard accepted. Fuel costs are payable by the rider/renter.

• All riders must be in possession of a valid motorcycle license, held for 5 years, an international driver's permit and must be over 25 years of age.
  
• The riders/renter will be required to produce their original driver license and passport prior to delivery of the motorcycle. Tour Operaters are obliged to verify these details before confirming bookings.

• All motorcycles are comprehensively insured for Theft, Collision Damage and 3rd Party.
  
• NB There is no waiver on the Excess payable. (See Deposits)

• Medical insurance is strongly advisable for all riders and passengers.
• This is not included in the agreement. Please ensure that you have adequate cover.

• Check at the time of booking for the various requirements.

• Prior approval must be obtained before leaving the borders of RSA and in certain cases an administration fee is payable.

• In summer malaria precautions are advisable for tours to the North Eastern areas. Extreme caution is advised regarding sexually transmitted diseases and use of water in rural areas.

• These are charged to MOTOBerlin and the amount is recovered by a debit to the rider or guarantor's credit card, and will include an administration fee of not less than R150. The signing of the contract will give MOTOBerlin the authority to do this without prior warning and without a time limit.

• Any damage, mechanical or electrical failure on any MOTOBerlin vehicle, trailer, motorcycle or equipment is to be reported as soon as possible, to MOTOBerlin. Punctures, however, are the responsibility of the rider.
• Accidents and theft are to be reported to the South African Police, by the rider, within 24 hours and a Case Number obtained. The full details of the vehicles or persons involved are to be taken and supplied to MOTOBerlin for Insurance purposes.

• To provisionally book a date and a specific BMW model, a 25% deposit must be paid immediately.
  
• This deposit is non refundable if the booking is cancelled less than 60 days before the starting date of the hire.
  
• The full hire fee is to be paid 30 days before the hire starting date, in order for the booking to have confirmed status. Failure to comply with this commitment may result in the booking being cancelled.
  
• If the motorcycle is cancelled 16 to 29 days before the hire starting date, there will be a 50% refund of the hire fee.
  
• If the motorcycle is cancelled 8 to 15 days before the hire starting date, there will be a 25% refund of the hire fee.
  
• If the motorcycle is cancelled 7 days, or less, before the hire starting date, there will be no refund.
